Gothica

Hi! I hope you haven't forgotton me totally. I have been so hyper busy that I hardly (mm.. more like not at all) have had time to do any personal artworks. I have done tons of bookcovers in meanwhile and some of them have come out amazing - maybe they have been even best things I have ever made. I wish I could show you them all. And then, for last three years, I have taken traditional art classes that have been huge development for me. I never felt I was able to draw with just pencil or watercolors but with those last years I have made huge process. I definitely should upload some of the pencil portraits I have done. And then - last year, I illustrated the whole children book. That was something huge and I was very happy when this year they asked me back to make a illustrations for a game inspired from the book. That was a lot of work and new experience - making so many pictures with such a short time. So.. I have kept myself busy (+ my work, PhD studies and programs to get children interested in robotics) but finally.. I have no idea where did I stole the time but.. I have new personal artwork..

It just poured itself out of me tonight. It is definitely not the most complex work but somehow I love it. Maybe just because it is something new I have made.. something that looks gorgeous for me. Maybe because I actually finished a piece (believe me, there were many starts but zero finished works, sadly).

So.. the story (as I always have a story with an image).. This time.. I do not have one. I had totally different image in my mind. It had something to do with rain. I worked on a bookcover lately where I have amazing change to play around creating rainy scene and that reminded me what a challenge it can be and how much fun it is. So, I wanted to make something with a rain that I could upload here. But when I started to create that bluish image, it turned into gothic work with dark forest and something I never believed will find a place into my artwork - scull.. oh noo.. but it felt perfect there.

Anyway.. I really, really hope you like it and I do hope I will get more of those "needs" to pour myself out on digital canvas and make some more great pieces.
